Life Lately

This past week was a crazy one. I finished Spring Term by writing a few papers and taking a few finals. I'm just glad this term is over. Tyson and I took a few days to relax this weekend, before I start classes again on Tuesday for the Summer term. I'm just pushing my way until graduation. After Summer term I'll only have 13 more credits until I student teach in the Winter and then I'm done (finally)!

Thursday, on my walk home from campus, in the blistering heat, I walked past this local boutique that was having a tent sale on some of their merchandise that they needed to get rid of. This means, good deals! So, I stopped to take a look. They had a ton of cute things, and if I had lots and lots of money I would have bought much more. Instead I settled for this awesome purse that I scored for $15 (instead of $50) and a cute black sunhat that came with a little bag to put it in when I'm not wearing it.

On Saturday to celebrate me being done with finals, we decided to take a small trip to Salt Lake. We had seen the trailer for Moonrise Kingdom a few times and it looked super funny. But since it was a limited release, it wasn't playing anywhere in Provo. In fact, the only place it's playing in Utah is in Salt Lake (I believe). So, we decided to make a day out of it. After Tyson had picked me up some allergy medicine to take (yay for sore/itchy throats), we were off. The first thing we did was visit the City Creek Mall. This is the new outdoor mall that just opened in the last few months in Salt Lake. It is way nice. I loved all the water details. Plus they had some great stores there. My favorite that we visited-- H&M. I love H&M. It reminds me of my London days. We used to shop there all the time. After a few minutes at the mall we left to make the 3 showing of Moonrise Kingdom.

We walked a few blocks and passed a few interesting people to get there. The theatre only plays limited release movies, so it was a really different venue. My favorite part about the theatre was their snacks. They had a lot of old fashioned things, and it wasn't too pricey. Tyson and I both got some old fashioned glass bottled drinks for our movie (me--rootbeer, Tyson--blue raspberry). The movie was pretty good. It had really funny humor and the story was super cute/adorable. Basically it is about these two 12 year olds that fall in love and decide to run away together. It shows the parents/scout leader/scouts/police trying to find them, too. The best part of the movie was the costumes. I loved the 60s vintage stuff. My favorite thing is a toss up between the old fashioned portable record player that the girl had and the original version of the board game "Sorry". It was just super cute, really. Tyson and I both enjoyed it. It has a great cast, too: Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, and Tilda Swinton. And I have had this song stuck in my head since I've seen it:

After the movie we went back to the mall to look around some more. We stopped at Forever 21 and I bought a cute shirt there. Tyson was really patient why I looked at, and tried on clothes. What a great husband :)

After Forever 21, we walked over to Temple Square to just look around. Temple square is just right across the street from the new mall. There were quite a few weddings going on (even at 6 at night). We took some pictures in front of the reflection pool and had a lovely chat. I sure do love Mr. Murray :)

After Temple Square we had a nice "romantic" dinner at Chick fil a (yes I did have to look up how to spell it). I had never been before. It was pretty yummy. Gotta love Chicken Nuggets. Anyway, after dinner we headed back to Provo, stopped at the store to pick up some redbox movies (we had 2 free rentals that were about to expire), and some treats. We watched Woman in Black. It seriously stressed me out way more than it should have (it's that blasted rocking chair!). I probably watched about 1/2 the movie through my fingers because I was covering my face and hyperventilating.  Yeah, still not sure how that happened. Mr. Harry Potter did a pretty good job too. I kept thinking he was Harry Potter though and I found myself yelling at the screen, telling him to do magic. It didn't work.

Now that the weekend is over it is back to real life and my new class starts on Tuesday. Yay...... Haha. That's about all that is happening in the Murray household as of late.

P.S. As you may have notice from the pictures, Tyson finally got a hair cut. The mullet/beatles look is gone and we are both much happier :)
